Description of Qualifications:

Term of office: 2 years

Term limit: Yes

Salary: $6,000

Rachel Ann Caballero:

BACKGROUND: Describe your strongest competency and life experience that qualify you to hold this office.

I have been around politics my whole life. I have always maintained a level of interest with regards to politics and government & at one time, I campaigned for candidates. However, I believe my competency stems from a life of constant eagerness to learn, trying to be a better human being to others, & be as knowledgeable as possible in the things that I am passionate about. I work hard. I believe that the average tax payers deserve a voice on our city council that they do not currently have.

Rachel Ann Caballero:

ISSUES: During your campaign, what is the number one concern expressed to you by the residents of Corpus Christi? What is your response to this concern?

I believe the number one concern I have heard is personal freedoms being taken. People feel as if their right to chose what is best for themselves and their families are being decided for them. The other that will directly impact Corpus Christi is economic development. I believe that the local government needs to be more receptive to allowing LOCAL residents to become business owners and other smaller organizations.

Rachel Ann Caballero:

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT: How would you rate the capability of Corpus Christi to respond to natural and human-made disasters, such as hurricanes, pandemics, chemical fires or spills, and flooding?

Poor

Above average
Excellent

I believe the city did what they were told to do by the state and federal mandates. Could we have handled the counting and reporting differently, absolutely yes.

ECONOMY: The COVID-19 pandemic has created a feeling of uncertainty. What are your views of the future for our local economy, including local jobs and property values, and general well-being, including healthcare, affordable housing, and schools?

I believe that the numbers were overstated and purposefully manipulated to shutdown our economy. This has affected small towns like ours directly impacting hard working individuals and small businesses that are barely hanging on. I believe that we need to reopen and people should follow the necessary precautions to do so safely.

Rachel Ann Caballero:

PRIORITIES: Other than the issues previously addressed, what are your top three priorities, and, if elected, how would you address them?

My top three priorities are infrastructure, constituent equality (no more special interest majority), and fair economic development for ALL.

So much for "Good Friday".....
Leave it to SHADY politicians (and people) to try and pull this crap NOW......

We need to fight folks:
Please call Todd Hunter 512-463-0672 / 361-949-4603
Abel Herrero 361-387-0457 / 361-882-1882
Juan Chuy Hinojosa 361-882-0900

Tell them if they do not fight these bills..... their political days WILL BE OVER.

These politicians ARE WORTHLESS. WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOLKS.

Our beaches are OURS. They don't belong to the government. They don't belong to greedy, self-serving politicians.

THEY BELONG TO US. NOW WE FIGHT.

Man does it feel good right now!!!

I'm not going to tell you to go to places that are continuing mask usage. I'm not going to tell you to go to places that are not requiring mask usage.

Do. What. YOU. Want. THIS IS AMERICA. Land of the free.... NEVER forget this.

Please remember the locally owned businesses that jumped through hoops to stay opened and to accommodate insane requirements. And those that helped US. (Imperial Cafe & Nueces Brewing Company to name a couple.)

I heard of NO corporately owned businesses that helped our community. NONE (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
Be mindful of each other as we are ALL DIFFERENT in our own ways!

Have a great weekend!! #shoplocal #bekind

Happy Fri-yay!!!!!

I stopped by my friend Alex's place this morning!!

Teas are really good!! Even though it's good for you, it doesn't have a gritty taste AND..... I ordered a Cherry Limeaide and it was perfectly balanced. Not too tart and not too sweet. Wonderfully refreshing!!

She didn't get a ribbon cutting but this family IS Corpus Christi!! Show them some love and support!!!

I'm so proud of you Alex!!!! #supportlocal #lovemypeeps
